Marketing Data Doesn’t Lie – 3 Quick Tips to Help
We live in an amazing age of technology and data. It is part of the fabric of our daily lives. We now have real-time feedback that tells us if our marketing content is a hit or miss. Have you taken the time to step back and evaluate your online progress? Is your social media content marketing working?
Here are three quick tips that can help.
Download Your Facebook Analytics
Did you know that you can download an excel document that has all of your Facebook data? It provides better insight into your customer interaction and gives you a much more detailed picture of what people like and don’t like so that you can provide targeted content. (we will be teaching a free course on Facebook Analytics on Thursday, August 22nd at 4pm @ Frontal Lobe, next to Dairy Queen downtown Howell. Click here for more info!)
Clue In to Your Twitter Conversation
Twitter can start to feel a bit like you are shouting into the ocean. There are a LOT of tweets from a LOT of people and businesses flowing every second of every day. Make sure your conversation is relevant to those following you by monitoring how many retweets and favorites you have. If your tweets are not getting any attention, it is time to change the conversation.
Measure How Far Your Pins have Traveled
Did you know that Pinterest buyers spend more money, more often, and on more items than any of the other top 5 social media sites? If you have your Pinterest Page set up as a business account, you now have access to a wealth of information about the information you pin. Spend some time looking to see what people are re-pinning and how far your reach is. If your Pinterest Page is set up as a personal account you can check to see what has been pinned from your website by copying and pasting this link in your browser http://pinterest.com/source/YourWebsite.com/ . Remember to replace “yourwebsite.com” with your actual website address.
Using your site analytics will help to prevent you from spinning your wheels. Remember, data doesn’t lie. By measuring what is working online you are able to save time and give your customers exactly what they want.
